woman finish 75 hard results

The 75 Hard Challenge is a mental fitness challenge that has been gaining in popularity ever since it was created by Andy Frisella in 2019. If you were only recently introduced to it, there’s a good chance you’re wondering, is it worth it?? The results of the 75 hard speak for themselves, but let’s talk about it anyway.

The 75 Hard is definitely worth it and can give you an entirely new perspective on what you’re capable of.

However, it’s not an easy challenge and between the humbling progress pictures, two workouts a day, and other daily tasks, you will be pushed to your limits. I’ve attempted this challenge four time and successfully completed it twice. Let’s get into the ins and outs of this hard program so you can decide if it’s the right challenge for you.

What is the 75 Hard Challenge?

The 75 Hard is a “mental toughness challenge” created by Andy Frisella. For 75 straight days, you must complete a specific list of tasks with no substitutes or rest days – any slip-ups require starting over again at day one. The 75 Hard is not a weight loss challenge. It’s designed to help you develop long term healthy habits that actually stick. Although you will definitely see physical changes if you complete the challenge, those changes barely compare to the mental changes you’ll experience.

What are the 75 Hard Challenge Rules?

The 75 hard is a transformative mental toughness program that has the potential to completely change your life and kickstart extreme personal growth. That being said, the rules are strict. Here are the rules for this intense 75-day program.

  4. Give up alcohol completely

What’s the point of the challenge?

The point of the 75 Hard is to prove to yourself that you are more capable than you think.

Whether its the start of a new year, you’re looking for a fresh start, or you simply want to get out of your comfort zone, the 75 Hard may be exactly what you need for a new lease on life. When you prove to yourself that you can do something this tough every single day for two and a half months, you discover that you’re capable of anything.

In order to complete the challenge, you’ll have to completely transform your daily routine and rearrange your priorities. The point of completing this challenge is to prove to yourself that you can do it.

What results will you get from the 75 Hard?

Regardless of your fitness level or personal goals, the 75 hard has the power to transform your life. Both your physical appearance and your body image will improve, you’ll develop self-trust, and you’ll discover the best version of yourself — inside and out.

Many people do lose weight and improve their physical health thanks to moving their bodies consistently and following a nutrition plan. Most people also see a positive change in their mental health self image. The little things in this challenge add up to a monumental win for personal development and self esteem.

My 75 Hard Results

In my personal experience, I lost weight, gained muscle, discovered that I’m way more capable than I knew, improved my mental health, and literally never looked back. This challenge kickstarted a healthy lifestyle that I didn’t know I was capable of and now could not imagine living without. The biggest thing that changed for me during this challenge was realizing that I can choose who I am. Since completing it, I’ve started a new job, gotten a new relationship, moved cities, adopted a dog, and started new hobbies. I’ve gained self-confidence, discipline, and optimism. Personally, thanks to the reading I chose to do during the challenge, the 75 Hard also kickstarted a spiritual journey for me and helped me realign with my Higher Self and trust my intuiton.

Here are three sets of before and after photos from my 75 hard challenge.

The first two before and afters are meant to show the physical differences I saw from the challenge. These are my daily progress photos from the first and the last day of the program. During the first week of the program, it was hard to drink so much water and stick to the strict diet. I felt overwhelmed by the tasks and embarrassed about what I saw in my progress pics. By the end of the challenge, the rigid rules had become totally routine and I had a new body-confidence I’d never known before. You can see how different I looked and felt after completing this challenge.

What diet should you choose?

This completely depends on your current eating habits, your health and fitness goals, and your body’s individual physiology. I am always an advocate for respecting your body and giving it the right fuel to do its job. With that said, I don’t recommend choosing any diet that is too restrictive or that is going to leave you feeling hungry or fatigued during your daily workouts.

Some ideas for healthful diets that can work for some people are: intuitive eating (with a whole foods diet), intermittent fasting, or a macronutrients diet plan.

Who should NOT do the 75 Hard?

You should not begin the 75 hard challenge if you don’t genuinely intend to finish it. This is not a get-fit-quick gimmick.

You should only start this challenge if you have a drive inside of you to find out what you’re really made of because you know you are capable of more than what you’ve been lately. The strict rules are in place for a reason and if you follow them, you’ll reap amazing rewards (speaking from experience). Just know, this is a hard journey in a lot of ways. If that sounds like just what you need – I am rooting for you and cheering for you! You can do it!
